Our Commitment
Did you know that every year over 20,000 youth age out of the foster system in the United States? Most of these kids have no contact with their birth families or any support system. The Furnish Co and Make it Matter: The Collective, a local nonprofit, are working together to change this.
Furnish by definition means ‘to supply someone with something, give something to someone, be a source of, or provide. The reason why we named this adventure/business "Furnish" is while our commitment is to provide you with quality furniture and accessories for your home, our mission is to be a source for youth aging out of the Foster System in Madison County.
As a community partner to @Makeitmattercollective, we will employ youth transitioning out of care, and support MIM in providing one-on-one mentoring, quality housing, and other supportive services for self-sufficiency. A portion of every purchase you make at The Furnish Co will go to support @makeitmattercollective
